Book Character Day

What fun we had all coming to school in our different costumes. Look at the array of characters that came alive from the books.

P23 Bell Ringers Excursion

Aiden V's Grandma, Grandad and Great Aunty all belong to a group of bell ringers that practise in Cranford Street. We had the privilege of walking to the venue and watching them practise.

Poetry Competiton Final

Today our finalists from each hub recited their poem in the Piwakawaka and Parera poetry competition.
First Place: Sander Findlay Smits - Night Comes
Second: Elise Jolliffe - Henry
Third equal: Nityajitsinh Parmar - Incy Wincy
                    Tatum Loxton - I love.

Congratulations to all the children who were selected from their hubs and to the winners. A big thank you to our judges Jenny Jamison and Jo Lidstone. Also to Lucy Whyte for organising this awesome event.

Pīwakawaka 1 Poetry Competition

Well done to everyone for sharing your poems with your classmates and whānau. A special congratulations to Jock, Elise and Mylo, who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd. A big THANK YOU to Diane for judging our competition.

Ferrymead with P1 and P2

We visited the wonderful historic park Ferrymead.We had a wonderful day stepping back in time wearing olden day clothes.
We did the housework, made cookies, went to school and did the shopping-

On Friday we had our Piwakawaka 2 Poetry Competition.All the children did a fantastic job of saying their poems clearly and loudly.

Ferrymead Trip

Last week Pīwakawaka and Parerā travelled back in time! We experienced what life was like 100 years ago by completing different tasks wearing old fashioned clothing.
