Searching the Shoreline at Spencer Park

Ngā Kiwi 4 and 5 exploring the shoreline. We learnt about the different animals that live in our oceans, on the beach and in the sand dunes. The difference between natural objects found on the beach and man-made rubbish we find. Did you know?... most of the man made rubbish found on our beaches comes from littering in our city. Rubbish makes its way to our beaches and can seriously effect our wildlife. We classified our natural and man made rubbish into different piles and then decided what was recyclable, re-usable or waste.

Ngā Kiwi 4 and 5 wrote a positive and powerful message on the beach: TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME.
